“Wellness is the freedom to move fluidly through the cycles of being human. Wellness is thus not a state of being; it is a state of action.”
- Emily Nagoski & Amelia Nagoski

Lisa Lord is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach and a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach through the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, affiliated with the Institute for Functional Medicine. She is also certified with The Feel Good Effect.

In coaching, Lisa helps people discover how they want to feel, why it matters, and how to orient their lives around this. She believes deeply in the transformative power of shifting one’s perspective and discovering what is possible. She helps people uncover and pursue, with self-compassion and kind action, their unique vision of health and wellness.

Her coach training included positive psychology, mind-body medicine, and the concepts of functional medicine, a wellness-based, person-centered approach that seeks to identify and address the root cause of disease and promote optimal wellness.

She has a degree in Dietetics from the University of Delaware and a Copyediting Certificate from the University of California, San Diego.

A Maine native, Lisa spent a decade in Ireland and now lives near Raleigh, North Carolina, with her husband, two sons, and their dog. She enjoys running and yoga, being outdoors, time with family and friends, and learning. She would need another 20 lifetimes (at least!) to get through all of the books she’d like to read.
